Samsung is ready for their comeback as their biggest competitor to Apple's iPhone 8 is launching later this year. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and its brother Galaxy S8 Plus will represent Samsung after the Galaxy Note 7's major flop last year.

South Korea's tech giant, Samsung is set to unveil their "flagship killer" for 2017 and as their major comeback for Samsung smartphones. Recently, a new set of leaked information has been revealed by acclaimed KGI analysts, Ming-Chi Kuo. It was a surprise knowing that Kuo is an insider for Apple products.

Now, Kuo has confirmed the rumors about the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus are true. According to her, Galaxy S8 will be sporting a 5.8-inch display, larger than the Galaxy S7 while S8 Plus is a massive 6.2-inch display, shared BGR.

Samsung, however, also made some major changes in the design of both phones, as hinted based on the leaked photos. Starting from its home button where the oblong shaped will be removed from the front of the phone. The bezels of the phone were also minimized giving a wider aspect ratio, which means both phones will have an increased resolution of 2960 x 2400 pixels. Then again, Samsung will still keep the curved OLED display designed for both phones.

The rumored Iris scanner, however, will be part of six sensors which are the proximity, ambient light, iris, IR LED Transmitter, front camera and the receiver. These six sensors are found along the top bezel of both Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

There are also four modules in the back of both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. These are the camera flash which is found at the top left, heart rate sensor which is found at the bottom left, the main camera which is in the middle and the fingerprint scanner which is on the right side.

Now, for both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, the camera will have an 8 Megapixel front camera and a 12 Megapixel rear camera. A USB 3.1 Type-C will replace MicroUSB for both phones. Now, another interesting feature of both phones is the PC Mode, which enables a phone to have a desktop-like user environment, when placed in a special dock or connected to a monitor or TV. In addition, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6GB of RAM, rounded up by Forbes.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are expected to make their official debut on March 29. These two smartphones are expected to be a major hit since this would be the biggest rivalry to Apple's iPhone 8.
