In "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 17, titled "Duet," Barry Allen loses his powers and falls into a coma in an attempt to save Supergirl. The only way he can retrieve his speed is to sing and dance his way out of his coma.

In "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 17, Barry (Grant Gustin) reunites with Kara aka Supergirl in the most unfortunate way. The episode takes off following the events of next week's episode of "Supergirl," in which Kara becomes victim to the Music Meister.

Fans may want to watch the March 20 episode of "Supergirl" to get an introduction to the events in "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 17. Cartermatt reports that the closing minutes of the episode titled "Star-Crossed" leads up to Barry's involvement with Kara's predicament with the Music Meister.

According to Mic, the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss) renders Kara unconscious. Mon-El (Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) end up traveling to Earth 1 in "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 17, to seek Barry's help. They believe he can wake the comatose Supergirl since they are unable to do so.

However, in his attempt to save Supergirl, The Flash ends up as another victim to the Music Meister. According to the synopsis for "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 17, Barry also ends up in a coma.

The two superheroes eventually reunite through their subconscious, where they exist in an alternate reality. They both do not have powers; Barry sans his speed and Supergirl without her strength.

In order to wake up, Barry and Kara must follow the orders of the Music Meister, including following his script. They both end up singing and dancing to survive in "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 17.

However, there is a catch. If they die in the musical world, they also die in the real world. Team Flash is unable to find a cure for the Music Meister's spell, so Barry and Kara are on their own.
