Apple iPad Mini 5 will be hitting the market soon. Reports have it that the company will unveil new iPads at Steve Jobs Theater next month.
The hype about the upcoming iPads was unstoppable. Initially, iPad Mini 5 was expected to be launched at Apple's September 2016 event because its predecessor, Apple iPad Mini 4 was released in the same month of the previous year. However, to the disappointment of many, the iPad was not released.
Fans should not fret though because Apple iPad Mini 5 is reportedly coming in April 2017, Droid Report. Apple will be having an event on April 4, 2017, and many believe that by that time, the public will finally see the new iPad Mini.
For those wondering how iPad Mini 5 will look like, there are rumors that Apple will be using Series 7000 aluminum for its new iPad lineups. The 7000-series aluminum chassis will make iPad look thinner, lighter and durable. The same material is used for iPhone 6S and 7, MacWorld noted.
Overall, iPad Mini 5 will probably look similar to iPad Mini 4. It will have a 7.9-inch retina display and will be 5mm thick. It is also expected to be equipped with an A9 and M9 motion processors. Aside from these, new features are anticipated in the new iPad Mini.
iPad Mini 5 will reportedly include a 3D Touch, which registers how much pressure is applied on the screen and offers different options. Many believe that the newest iPad Mini will come with iOS 10 and IP68 protection.
If it's true that iPad Mini 5 hasIP68 certification, then we will have a water-resistant iPad. Aside from this, an Apple Pencil, Smart Connector, iTouch ID fingerprint scanner and more are in talks to accompany the iPad.
