Liam Payne of "One Direction" recently revealed in an interview that US President Donald Trump had used his influence to arrange a personal meeting between his daughter and the boy-band. When they refused to comply with his request, he personally saw to it that they got kicked out of the hotel.

"One Direction" has a pretty unpleasant encounter with Donald Trump back when he had not yet become the President of the United States yet. When the band was staying at one of the hotels in New York, the billionaire industrialist had called up their manager and insisted on having the band meet his daughter, Mirror reported

Even though it was way into the night, Donald Trump ordered the manager to wake up the members of "One Direction" and fulfill his request. When he was flat out denied, Donald Trump acted out as he knew best.

"Obviously in New York we [One Direction] can't really go outside," Payne said, Metro reports. "New York is ruthless for us. So he [Trump] was like, "OK, then I don't want you in my hotel." So we had to leave."

Stranded outside on the New York streets, Payne revealed that all of them were quite uncertain of what would happen. Their band, "One Direction," had gotten pretty popular by the time and hence, it was not safe or feasible for either of them to walk down like commoners, without getting mobbed.

Donald Trump's twitter has not dispelled any comment regarding Payne's shocking statements yet. Also, there is no way of knowing which of Trump's daughters was such a big fan of "One Direction," back then.

Payne sharing this anecdote and other information about his personal life was unexpected, mainly because the PR team of "One Direction" tends to portray a squeaky clean and non-controversial image of the band. Could this be the start of a new side of Liam Payne, now that he is ready to launch his solo career?
