Selena Gomez recently dished out details regarding her mental health and her relationship with the social media application Instagram. The 24-year-old singer has over 110 million Instagram followers and has had two trips to psychiatric facilities due to psychological problems.

In a revealing interview with Vogue's Rob Haskell, pop sensation Selena Gomez admitted that tours make her anxious. In fact, she abruptly ended two tours due to mental health problems.

The first was in January 2014 when she checked in at the Meadows in Arizona. The second was in summer of 2016; after the Asian and North American legs of her "Revival" tour, Justin Bieber's former flame admitted herself to another psychiatric facility in Tennessee.

During that time, Gomez became absent from Instagram for more than three months. However, before her three-month Instagram blackout, Taylor Swift's best friend posted a photo of herself. It showed her collapsed on-stage and bathed in a radiant light. Her followers, called Selenators, peppered the photo with comments.

During her time at the Tennessee center, Selena Gomez engaged in three different kinds of therapy: equine, individual and group. She said of her 90 days focusing on balancing her mental health that it was incredible.

Furthermore, she admitted that it was difficult for her to do, yet it was the best decision that she made. After her discharge, Gomez deleted the Instagram application from her phone. In fact, she does not even know her own account's password! Only her assistant, who also posts on the app on behalf of the former Disney child star, does, according to E! Online.

The Instagram superstar also revealed that the social media application consumed her. She said that she became addicted to it and now that is why she is distancing herself from it. For now, she is more focused on her mental health and has even turned to Dialectical Behavior Therapy for help.
