Jennifer Lopez opted to hold into her newfound fame in television. Following Jennifer's various attempts to start a Hollywood movie career these past years, all of it failed to hit the box office. With this, Lopez decided to focus on her NBC crime drama, "Shades Of Blue".

Jennifer Lopez found her luck in television series as "Shades of Blue" has just been renewed for a third season. The third season will reportedly have ten episodes, Deadline reported.

The series depicts the life of Harlee Santos, portrayed by Jennifer Lopez, a single mother who have too much skeletons in the closet. Alongside Lopez, Ray Liotta, Drea de Matteo and Warren Kole also stars in the "Shades of Blue" as lead characters.

NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke even said in a statement, "We're so hugely appreciative of everything Jennifer and Ray do and know it is due to their dedication, as well as the hard work of our incredible cast and producers, that Shades of Blue has so clearly and compellingly earned a third-season renewal."

It can be remembered that Jennifer's last feature film, "The Boy Next Door," was a box office failure. Not much audience were interested in seeing Lopez play a character who seduces a much younger man who turned out to be an obsessive stalker of her. With these results, many wonder if Jennifer decided to shed her big-screen sex symbol, according to Celebrity Deal.

Aside from a flop moviet=, Jennifer Lopez attempt to make a comeback in her music career was also a failure. Her last album titled, "A.K.A" failed to garner interest from what was expected. The album was not a top sale among its competitive recording artists.

However, it was a nice move for Lopez to reinvent herself into a television actress. With "Shades of Blue", she once again has an opportunity how multitalented she is. If the success of the show continues, Jennifer might much more fans than what she already have from her previous career.
