‘Days of Our Lives’ Gains Less Nomination Than Other Soap Operas in Daytime Emmy Awards

"Days of Our Lives" is certainly loved by fans just as others daytime operas. However, this dear series does not take over nominations as many as its fellow series. Therefore, fans are upset for they consider their favorite opera does not receive equal credits. Consequently, many channels their criticism and expressed their opinion that this series is worth more nominations.

"Days of Our Lives" is reportedly classified in 22 nominations for Daytime Emmy Awards 2017. It can be said quite a lot, but still, it does not outreach the number of nomination for other three soap operas. According to TV Line, "The Young and The Restless" is leading with 25 nominations. This means it gets 3 points ahead in nomination than DOLL.

If it is deemed in a rank, "Days of Our Lives" is put away in the last place among the fourth soap operas nominated. "General Hospital" and "The Bold and The Beauty" is noted manage to get 23 nominations. Based on the nominations list USA Today reported, DOOL does not acquire credits for Outstanding Lead Actress in A Drama Series and Outstanding Younger Actress in A Drama Series.

Moreover, the fact that Mary Beth Evans, Kristian Alfonso, Deidre Hall, and Arianne Zucker are not arranged to compete with other actors and actress is also somewhat depressing. Looking back to their appearance for "Days of Our Lives", they should be able to snatch at least one nomination. It seems like their performance is still not enough to be rivaled with other nominations.

On the other hand, Daytime Emmy Awards has set its option and will shortly be held at Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Southern California on Apr. 30.
