"Watch Dogs 2" is an open-world game like the Grand Theft Auto series and published by Ubisoft. The game was released last year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. The plans for the DLC Pack for the game have been changed and it will be available for free.

Ubisoft has decided that it will provide a multiplayer pack for "Watch Dogs 2" for free of cost. The "No Compromise" DLC pack which was announced previously for the game and as per new announcement, this DLC will no longer include Showdown multiplayer mode as it will be released for free, GameSpot reported. The Showdown multiplayer mode is a two versus two mode that is meant to be a great challenge for experienced players as described by Ubisoft.

"Watch Dogs 2" live producer has said in a blog that there are several reasons to move the premium content of DLC to a free one. First, the publisher wants everyone to play and be a part of it. It will contribute a healthier community with more active gamers.  Second, previous feedbacks led to the creation of the multiplayer DLC and now Ubisoft wants more people to play it.

The free DLC update for "Watch Dogs 2" will be available for download on April 17. Also, Ubisoft has decided to include new ability granting outfits and vehicles, single player time trials option and non-lethal weapons which were not a part of original 'No Compromise" package. These new additions will come bundled with the new update, Eurogamer reported.

Ubisoft's decision to make the multiplayer pack for "Watch Dogs 2" free is worth applauding because not many publishers are doing the same.  Most of the DLCs that are available for famous titles come at a price which many players don't want to pay for. Also, the company has decided to offer more free updates in June that will allow a group of four players to explore the city and take part in activities.
