'Emmerdale' Actor Adam Thomas Refutes Rumors Of Him Leaving Show To Become TV Host

An entertainment tabloid once reported that "Emmerdale" actor Adam Thomas was the leaving the show to pursue TV hosting. The actor, however, revealed that he had no plans to exit the British soap and that readers shouldn't believe everything they hear or read.

There have been a lot of twists and surprises on "Emmerdale" recently. One such surprise is the rumor that Adam Thomas, who plays Adam Barton on the show, will be leaving soon. The Sun recently reported that Thomas wanted to quit the show after being on it for eight years so that he could make a career in TV hosting.

According to the publication's source, Thomas wants to leave the Dale after eight years so that he could pursue a new career on TV. Fans were worried about this, considering that Kelvin Fletcher, Gemma Atkinson, and Bill Ward had also left "Emmerdale" almost a year ago. The 28-year-old Thomas was rumored to be written out of the show by late 2017.

Many fans went on Twitter to ask Thomas whether reports of his exit were true. The "Emmerdale" actor replied on Twitter with, "Don't believe everything you read, people." Metro reported that Thomas didn't take the rumors seriously. In fact, he jokingly asked who would want to be a guest on his new show.

Adam Thomas' character, Adam Barton, is a fan favorite and has undergone major story developments on "Emmerdale." In one storyline, he suffered a nervous breakdown after the death of the man he believed to be his father. Not only that, he committed a crime and spiraled out of control.

According to Adam Thomas, the writers have a lot of things in store for Adam Barton, which means that he will definitely not be leaving "Emmerdale" anytime soon. Thomas appeared on "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!" reality show and finished third. His appearance there triggered the rumors that he wanted to leave his soap drama to host his own show.
