"Rick and Morty" Season 3 has been long overdue. Fans have been clamoring for its debut until Adult Swim surprised them by airing its first episode on April Fools' Day.

The premiere episode of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 revealed that Rick is already out of prison. Meanwhile, the Galactic Federation has been ejected from the Earth, Inverse reported.

Aside from this, the first episode of "Rick and Morty" also featured a number of things like Gromflomites working with Tammy. They are creating a Frankenstein, an undead Birdperson now called "Phoenixperson" who is very loyal to Tammy. Meanwhile, Beth and Jerry getting a divorce.

The premiere episode of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 titled "The Rickshank Rickdemption" premiered on April Fools' Day, Independent reported. Per the report, Dan Harmon explained about his comment regarding the "fights" causing the delay of "Rick and Morty" Season 3. Per the creator, the "fight" he was talking about is not similar to the one fans experience at home but they fight on what joke to feature in the new season.

The "Rick and Morty" team knows that the information they release will have a huge weight given that the show has been late. Dan Harmon also added that they do not want to give precise updates on where every episode is in pipeline for two reasons. First, they want fans to harass the bosses and second it is not their jurisdiction to talk about schedules. Adult Swim is responsible for the schedule and since it is out of their scope, there is a shortage of information.

Meanwhile, for those waiting for the next episodes of "Rick and Morty" Season 3, the team announced on its Twitter account that it will air this summer. "Aaaaaand that's the way the news goes. Thanks for watching 'The Rickshank Rickdemption'! More to come this summer..."

Have you watched the premiere episode of "Rick and Morty" Season 3? If you missed it don't worry Adult Swim is going to air it every night this week 10 p.m. EST.
