Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett Pays Tribute To Hugh Hefner On His 91st Birthday

Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett took to social media to greet former boyfriend Hugh Hefner on his birthday. The former Playboy playmate thanked and praised Hefner.

Wilkinson-Baskett shared a throwback photo of her and Hefner to celebrate the latter's 91^st birthday on Sunday, April 9. The glamor model captioned the image with a birthday greeting and a meaningful message. "Thank you for EVERYTHING. People might not understand you but that's because they've never had the chance to know you like I do. I'll celebrate you forever," she wrote.

As of writing, the photo has over 70, 000 likes and 392 comments. Other Instagram users used Wilkinson-Baskett's message to send their birthday wishes for Hefner.

Wilkinson-Baskett may no longer be a Playboy bunny, but this does not mean she has lost contact with her former boyfriend. According to E! News, she still communicates with Hefner. The last time they met was earlier this year. The 31-yeard old told the publication that the 91-year old looked "very healthy" despite rumors about his failing health.

Hefner means a lot to Wilkinson-Baskett. She owes her stardom to the Playboy magazine founder. She found fame while she lived with him at his Playboy mansion. She eventually landed a TV gig in "Girls Next Door" thanks to being one of Hefner's girlfriends. The reality TV star has since left the mansion and married former American football player Hank Baskett. They have two children together.

Hefner celebrated his 91^st birthday in style. Aside from his Casablanca-themed party at his Playboy mansion, Amazon prepared a docuseries that chronicled his life. According to US Weekly, the series titled "American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story," premiered on April 7. It is available to stream on Amazon Prime.

Aside from Wilkinson-Baskett, Hefner's son Cooper also sent his birthday message on his Instagram. The 25-year old shared a photo of his father dressed in his trademark silk jacket and captain's hat along with his birthday greeting.
