"Switched At Birth" revival is not being ruled out completely by showrunner, Lizzy Weiss, after the show aired its series finale on Tuesday, April 11. She said that series finale was "bittersweet" for the cast and crew of the show, who hope to reunite once again in the future to revive the show if given a chance.

The 5-year long journey that the Vasquez and Kennish families had taken during the show came to an end recently. In the series finale of the show, all the characters had to take some life-changing decisions that are going to define their future. While "Switched At Birth" revival remains up in the winds, for now, the showrunners and writers did their best to carefully tread the fine line between a cliffhanger and a closed ending.

Bay, for instance, decided to abandon her plans of moving to Japan with Travis and continue their long-distance relationship instead. Daphne got her wish of standing up to Mingo, who has once humiliated her and thrown her out of his office. Kathryn, on the other, was confronted with the revelation that her husband knew for an entire year that Bay wasn't his daughter. All of the above plotlines leave enough fodder for the creators to explore if "Switched At Birth" revival ever were to happen, E! Online reports.

However, the likelihood of the network considering a "Switched At Birth" revival seems slim at the moment since they are the ones who decided to cancel its run in the first place. However, since the show did find itself back on the television screen after a year-long hiatus, creator Weiss still has hope that it might be revived somewhere down the line, The Wrap reports.

"If people want to revisit it, I won't shut that door," she said about a possible "Switched At Birth" revival. "[But] I've made my peace with it either way. If it doesn't happen, we have 103 episodes that people can revisit, I hope for many years to come."
