It has been months since news of an Eminem new album emerged. The "Rap God" himself took to social media to confirm that he is working on new songs. However, he has not dropped anything yet.

Just when fans started losing hope for a 2017 album from Eminem, a new photo emerged. Paul Rosenberg posted a series of images with the famous rapper on social media. Some fans believe that it is a sign of his return to the music world.

According to Capital Xtra, some fans even noted that Eminem had the date "April 9" on the palm of his hand. However, it's already 10 days past the 9th of the month and the "Slim Shady" rapper has not dropped anything yet. It is then believed that the date on his palm was referring to something else and not his upcoming album.

As Eminem continues to stay silent these days, Kendrick Lamar and other rappers are gaining momentum. Lamar has just dropped "DAMN" and fans are already all over the Internet buying the songs. The album features other singers and rappers.

Lamar's "DAMN" even features Rihanna, whom Eminem has collaborated with in the record-breaking song series "Love the Way You Lie." UPROXX has called Lamar the "greatest rapper alive." What does Eminem think about it?

It appears that Eminem is just laying low and focusing on making his music. He may actually be happy for the success that Kendrick Lamar's new album is experiencing. After all, the award-winning artist has confirmed that he is indeed working on a new album. It remains to be seen when the new songs will be out.

There have been earlier rumors that the Eminem new album will feature Adele, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and more. The record producer has yet to officially confirm the speculations. Stay tuned for more news and updates on one of the United States' best-selling artists.
