Apple fans have high expectations for the upcoming iPhone 8. The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus has added fuel to the fire because these devices have lured many potential iPhone buyers.

The upcoming iPhone 8 has been rumored since long and Apple fans are eagerly waiting for its release. However, a recently surfaced piece of information might disappoint many Apple fans as the iPhone 8 might get delayed by several months. According to the information, the buyers should expect around 1-2 months delay in the launch of the iPhone 8.

According to Bloomberg, the highly anticipated iPhone 8 will be delayed because of supply restrictions. The iPhone 8 is expected to be a milestone in the iPhone release history as it will be released on the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. The website indicates that the handset will not be anywhere close to hitting the shelves until one or two months after the traditional announcement in September.

Apple is expected to compensate for the delay by releasing three iPhones this September as rumored. These iPhone models will comprise of the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus and a brand new iPhone with a curved OLED screen. The new model is expected to omit the home button in favor of a Function Area, reported MacRumors.

These theories align with the previously surfaced reports from the Japanese website called Mac Otakara. The website also suggests that the upcoming iPhone will come with "Addition" Moniker and will cost upwards of $2000. The upcoming iPhone is also said to embed a fingerprint sensor in the OLED screen.

The expected features of the upcoming iPhone 8 include a new front camera with 3D capabilities, a dual camera setup at the back and a fingerprint sensor. Moreover, it is being reported that the fingerprint sensor under the OLED screen is also a major feature whose implementation might push the release date of the iPhone further.
