Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti recently became the new king of graphics cards dethroning Nvidia Titan X. The gaming community applauded Nvidia's decision of introducing a powerful card at a low price compared to the previous generation.

However, Nvidia has announced the new GeForce Titan Xp which is currently the most powerful graphics card in the world. The new Titan Xp has 3,840 unlocked CUDA cores, which are around 300 more cores than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti. The new card packs 12GB of GDDR5X RAM at a frequency of 11.4GHz up from the 10GHz of the previous version. The bandwidth was also increased from 480 GB/s to 547.7 GB/s.

The Titan Xp is seriously not meant for mainstream or average gamers as it costs around $1200, which puts it at the same price as that of the previous Nvidia GeForce Titan X. It is based on the Pascal GP102 chip that also powers the Nvidia Quadro P6000 that costs $5000. The Titan Xp can be seen as a bargain at that price.

The new Titan Xp reestablishes the Titan series as the flagship card from Nvidia. This card will offer extreme performance, more than any other card available in the market. The card features 12 TFLOPs of computing power that can blow any graphics card out of the water, reported HotHardware. Nvidia also unveiled some great news for Mac OS users as the company is set to launch beta OSX drivers.

The new OSX drivers will be available for all the latest 10-series cards from Nvidia including, GTX 1060, GTX 1080 Ti, Titan Xp and GTX 1070. This will enable Mac users to get access to latest products from Nvidia. Nvidia Xp is now available from Nvidia's website for $1200 but it is limited to only two units per customer.

It is expected that the Nvidia Titan Xp will be the most powerful card from Nvidia for a long time. AMD's Vega architecture might outperform the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti, however, things will be much clear when the Vega is unveiled.
