‘Outlander’ Season 3 Premiere Sneak Peak & Spoilers: Claire, Jamie Reunite

Starz has released a sneak peek at the "Outlander" Season 3 premiere, which hints at a reunion for star-crossed lovers Claire and Jamie. The trailer also revealed when the story takes place.

According to Parade, The "Outlander" Season 3 premiere takes off right after Jamie told Claire to return to her time for their baby's sake. Claire promised that she would go back to Frank (Tobias Menzies) and her life in 1948 to protect her unborn child with Jamie.

The sneak peek at the "Outlander" Season 3 premiere revealed that a lot has changed since Claire returned to her time. Her child with Jamie, a daughter named Brianna (Sophie Skelton), is now a beautiful woman. Claire and Frank are still together, although Claire is not happy in the relationship. However, Frank is a good father to Brianna. Claire was also able to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor.

However, Claire never forgets. She still remembers and loves Jamie, so while on a vacation to Scotland she tries to find out what happened to him at the battle of Culloden. She hopes that he is still alive so she can return to him. The sneak peek at the "Outlander" Season 3 premiere hints that she and Jamie somehow reunite.

Apparently, Jamie survived the battle as seen in the sneak peek at the "Outlander" Season 3 premiere. He wakes up tired and dirty but with a strong resolve to find Claire. He goes to the stones and shouts her name. Will Jaimie and Claire see each other again? Will Jamie travel to the future to meet Claire?

Co-executive producer Maril Davis described the theme in "Outlander" Season 3 premiere with one word, "heartbreak." Clearly, the sneak peek itself promised a very emotional episode. Davis also revealed the bulk of the season is based on Diana Gabaldon's "Voyager," according to Cartermatt.

However, Davis did not reveal any plot details for "Outlander" Season 3. Even though the show is based off on the novel, it is still likely that some stories will not come from the book.
