'Winds of Winter' Release Date: Neil Gaiman Takes Over For Possibe June Release

George R.R. Martin is reported to have stopped writing the book. It is rumored that it is already passed to his co-author, Niel Gaiman. Though the Game of Thrones writer is hang up in other projects, theories revealed that another Greenseer will appear in Westeros for the "Winds of Winter". The book is rumored to be released this June.

Ultimately, there's no confirmed update for the "Winds of the Winter". Many are anticipating for the book to be released this 2017 based on Martin's statement on his blog about publishing it this year. Though, it is known that the author has already missed several deadlines. There is a chance that the book will be published this coming June, before the TV series starts, as reported by Celebeat.

It is reported that Martin has allegedly put "Winds of Winter" to his least priorities with him focusing on writing the Wild Cards series and busy to his StageCoach Foundation. It is said that Martin is having a hard time finishing the novel since he has been engrossed with other projects. Sources claim that Martin will focus on his charity works before giving time to his novel. Though many speculations said that Martin have already stopped writing the book and he doesn't have a plan of finishing it.

It is said that award-winning novelist Neil Gaiman will continue the writing. The author has been spotted in Matin's hometown at Sta. Fe, New Mexico, which gives fans an idea that Martin might be collaborating with Gaiman, as reported by The Guardian. But there are also rumors that Gaiman is Martin's editor for the novel.

An enthusiast concluded that another Greenseer will replace the Three-eyed Crow which fans were very sure to be the last Greenseer. Many are hoping that with the release of the most awaited novel, this will answer the mystery, history, and role of the magical people, the Children of the Forest, as well as the White Walkers.
