CMT has released a promo for "Nashville" Season 5 Episode 12 that speaks of heartache. Avery bids Juliette goodbye and Scarlett feels sad over Gunner's reaction about her pregnancy.

The preview reveals what happens next after Scarlett told Gunner during the midseason finale that she is pregnant. There is only one way to find out if he is the father of her baby. The "Nashville" Season 5 Episode 12 promo shows Scarlett at a doctor's clinic.

"You're sure there is only one other potential father," the doctor asks Scarlett in the preview below. In "Nashville" Season 5 Episode 12, Scarlett takes a paternity test to determine who the baby daddy is. It seems she already knows who the father is before she takes the test.

The "Nashville" Season 5 Episode 12 promo shows Scarlett and Gunner in an emotional scene. Could Gunner be the baby daddy? He does not look so happy to hear about the paternity test. He even tells a tearful Scarlett that he cannot deal with the news. Perhaps Gunner is not the father but someone else. According to Deadline, the baby's father could be Scarlett's music video director.

Meanwhile, the Nashville" Season 5 Episode 12 promo also hints at what happens between Juliette and Avery. It seems Avery is saying goodbye. "I need to do something for myself this time," he tells Juliette in the video below. Juliette can only cry in response.

Juliette has looked up to Avery all this time for support. How can she cope without him by her side? However, the "Nashville" Season 5 Episode 12 promo hints that Juliette bounces back. She returns to performing on stage. According to TV Line, co-showrunner Marshall Herskovitz confirmed that Juliette manages to move on.

"Nashville" Season 5 Episode 12 takes place 10 weeks after the events in the midseason finale. Rayna's family learns to move on after her death. Scarlett is preparing to become a mother and Juliette is ready to get her life back. The show returns June 1 on CMT.
