‘The Leftovers’ Season 3 Episode 5 Promo, Spoilers: Matt On A Mission To Save Kevin

"The Leftovers" Season 4 Episode 5 is Matt-centric, literally, given the title is "It's a Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt World." In this episode, the preacher travels to Australia on a mission to bring Kevin home.

HBO has released a promo for "The Leftovers" Season 3 Episode 5, which shows Matt with John, Michael and Laurie en route to Australia. However, the pilot tells them that they cannot land because the plane is being diverted.

However, Matt (Christopher Eccleston) is determined to get to Melbourne for Kevin's (Justin Theroux) sake. According to the synopsis from Cartermatt, the preacher believes that Kevin should be present during the coming seventh anniversary of the Departure in Miracle. Matt makes an impulsive decision to head to Australia to bring Kevin home in "The Leftovers" Season 3 Episode 5.

The promo for "The Leftovers" Season 3 Episode 5 shows Matt's determination to get to Kevin. He begs a woman that she let him and his companions board the ship which seems bound for Australia. Matt, Michael, and Laurie find themselves in a boat party with a group of interesting people.

According to Heavy, these people seem to come from a spiritual group or a cult. They appear to be in a spiritual gathering of some sort. Matt gets into trouble with the men aboard the ship. A scene in the promo for "The Leftovers" Season 3 Episode 5 shows the preacher used as an offering. According to the synopsis, this intervention is God's way of preventing Matt from bringing Kevin back home.

The promo for "The Leftovers" Season 3 Episode 5 hints that Matt probably fails to bring Kevin back home from Australia. One scene shows him pass out. Perhaps he also gets hooked on the commotion on the boat. Another scene shows him swing an axe at a man. Whether Matt kills a person or rescues Kevin remains to be seen when "It's a Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt World" airs on Sunday.
