"Pokemon Stars", the third game in "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" is rumored to be ported on Nintendo 3DS instead of the successful Nintendo Switch. Though it is a possibility that the game would be a surprise for the "Pokemon Go" first anniversary this year.

The expectation that a new Pokemon Game will be landing on Nintendo Switch is steaming. "Pokemon Stars", as it is dubbed, is rumored to be a Director's cut of "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon". It is also rumored that the third game would have the same map of the Sun & Moon game but likely in a higher resolution sprites and music, as reported by Digital Trends. That is a strong indication that the third game will be ported on Nintendo Switch.

Though there are more indications that "Pokemon Stars" will be following up the Nintendo 3DS route instead of Nintendo Switch. It seems like Nintendo is not ready to give up the six-year-old Nintendo 3DS yet, according to Forbes. It would also be easier for the the developers to just create a standalone game than pushing "Pokemon Stars" on the Switch route because of Switch's and 3DS's difference. It would also be interesting how Nintendo will redesign its Pokemon games, with four of its generations homed in dual screens, into Switch's single screen.

And when it comes to Pokemon games, "Pokemon Go!" still dominates the mobile arena. It is expected that there will be a big event that will come this July to commemorate the game's first anniversary. Nintendo of America removed videos of "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" trailers in its Japanese and American YouTube Channels. Is this a coincidence? Some fans think its not. It is speculated that "Pokemon Go!" anniversary will be connected to "Pokemon Stars".

It has been noted that the Nintendo of America only removes videos if there are announcements that will be given. Looks like the company is finally announcing "Pokemon Stars" or whatever it will be called.
