Compared to the long time host of American Idol, Ryan Seacrest, Perry's contract as a judge on the show will be $ 25 million greater than Seacrest's $15 million contract. She revealed in an interview that she's really proud of the bigger paycheck.Perry is to replace Kelly Clarkson as a judge of the highly anticipated show after Clarkson declined the offer so that she can join to judge at NBC's "The Voice".

The Chained to the Rhythm singer slammed the previous judge, Jennifer Lopez's contract who only earned 15 million dollars last season. It also trumps Mariah Carey's 2012 paycheck in the show which is reported to be only $ 18 million. Though it is less than Simon Cowell's salary which is $ 45 million per season.Perry has been a guest judge on UK's "The X Factor" and have turned down to be a mentor on NBC's 'The Voice' including the multiple eight-figure salary offer. I got paid, pretty much, more than any guy that's been on that show," she said. "And by the way, I love men. So I'm a paid woman and I'm ready for a beautiful man." The panel of judges that will join Perry on American Idol is soon to be confirmed.
