Comedian Zach Galifianakis made an appearance on Conan O'Brien's late night TBS talk show "Conan" and revealed that he had quit drinking. Galifianakis, who stars in the "Hangover III," the final installment of the "The Hangover" movies showed up looking slimmer. O'Brien mentioned to Galifianakis that it looked like he lost some weight and the comedian and recent host of "Saturday Night Live" revealed it's because he quit drinking.

The story that follows, Galifianakis explains, is part of the reason why he quit drinking. Of course, it's hard at times to tell when the hilarious comedian is telling the truth, but the story involves him walking home drunk and getting cut off by someone driving a Jaguar. Galifianakis explained to O'Brien and the audience that he then smacked the car with his hand and went on his way.

About 20 seconds later, Galifianakis got a tap on his shoulder from two guys standing about 6'6 who then proceeded to spit in Galifianakis' face. He is lucky he didn't get attacked. The comedian then tried to throw a beer bottle from the trash at their car, but missed.

Apparently this and some other events are what led the funny man to stop drinking. It wasn't the usual story you hear from people who stopped drinking. This was a very funny story, although I'm sure at the time it wasn't too funny for Galifianakis. The comedian turned the story into a very funny segment on the show. Galifianakis, at one point joked, "I don't know if you've ever been spit in your face, non-sexually..."

"Hangover III" starring Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and others comes out in theaters May 23. The movie is the final installment of "The Hangover" series and is expected to be a blockbuster summer comedy. Are you going to see "Hangover III" in theaters?
