Although you might be pretty excited to watch the first official trailer for Showtime's third season of "Homeland," it must be said that this is an incredibly depressing first look. Fans are probably used to that but get ready for heartache and intrigue, you guys. Claire Danes, Damian Lewis and the rest of the cast return this September for the next chapter of "Homeland."
Check out the first season three trailer right here:
"She's gone off her meds for all sorts of reasons, which I think she believes strongly in," star Claire Danes said of her character in the upcoming season. "Carrie is always sitting on her own personal ticking bomb. It's just an impossible dilemma because she's not great on the meds and she's even worse off of them."
"Brody is on the lam," Danes' co-star Lewis revealed of his character. "He's disappeared into a network, a tunnel system...he's the most wanted criminal in the world, arguably at this point; he has to lay low. When you do see Brody, hopefully what will be of interest to the audience is what state he's in. I hope when you do see Brody for the first time it will be interesting."
Mstars recently reported on some other spoilers as well. Here is an excerpt:
As for main protagonist Carrie, Danes says that the character will be going off of her meds (a source of drama in many a show), and will find a special bond with Mandy Patinkin's character Saul as a result of the attack at the end of Season 2.
"(Carrie and Saul will be) very deeply connected because they experienced that trauma in a way no one else has," Danes said. "She does feel a certain level of betrayal, and also both Saul and Carrie share an enormous and profound amount of guilt and responsibility for this loss."
