Has the release date for Drake's new album "Nothing Was The Same" been moved back a week?

According to HITS Daily Double, "Nothing Was The Same" is not set to be released on Sept. 17, as the singer first announced on his Twitter back in June. Instead, fans will be able to hear the new record in full one week later on Sept. 24.

According to Complex, the album is undergoing some last minute recording sessions. Today, Noah "40" Shebib tweeted "Hold on we're almost done." The vague social media message may, in fact, indicate an album release delay. The October's Very Own artist is a producer on "Nothing Was The Same." In addition to untitled tracks and unfinished songs, Shebib worked on Drake's latest single from the upcoming record, "Hold On, We're Going Home."

Despite being only one month away from the release date, little is known officially about "Nothing Was The Same." Of course, singles "Started From The Bottom" and "Hold On" will be included on the album. Rumored song titles include: "Tuscan Leather" and "All Me." Drake has also reportedly been in the studio with a slew of famous guest artists, including Jay Z, Future, Miguel, Justin Timberlake and Sade, according to Complex.

Despite still being in the studio working on "Nothing Was The Same," earlier today, Drake announced that he will perform his hit single "Started From the Bottom" at the 2013 MTV VMAs. He joined the all-star line-up, which includes Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Kanye West.
