Over the past week, "Roar" singer Katy Perry has been holding Twitter contests to allow fans to unlock content and choose the next single off her upcoming third studio album "Prism." Last night after the MTV VMAs (Aug. 25), the winning song was unveiled to the masses on Perry's Twitter, and it seems as though the new single from "Prism" will be none other than "Dark Horse."

Up against "Walking On Air," fans chose to have "Dark Horse" as the next single. Soon after, Perry gave away more information on the new song. Most notably, it actually features "Bounce It" rapper Juicy J and will premiere on Sept. 17.

"Dark Horse," as demonstrated by the 30-second preview, begins with powerhouse vocals from Perry. "So you wanna play with my jeep / Baby, you should know what you're falling for / Do you dare to do this / 'Cause I'm coming at you like a dark horse / Are you ready for / A perfect storm?" Perry taunts before the beat drops.

In the true sense of the word "tease," the preview of "Dark Horse" ends there, which is likely what led fans to want to eagerly hear more. Comparatively, "Walking On Air" is an EDM-infused pop song. "Walking On Air" sounds like it is what it is, whereas "Dark Horse" is bound to be full of musical twists and turns.

The announcement of Perry's next "Prism" single isn't the only exciting news from the pop star. During the VMAs, fans who used Shazam during her performance of "Roar" were able to unlock a teaser for the music video. Luckily, the clip has hit the web today for those who missed it. Like a true Tarzan, Perry swings through the jungle singing the "Oh" chants from "Roar," disrupting the calm of the forest.
