In a new interview, actress and singer Selena Gomez announced that her latest record, "Star Dance," would be her last for a while. This news comes just a few days after a Q&A session for her upcoming film, Getaway, revealed her future focus on her acting career. Obviously these two revelations have a lot to do with each other and it looks like Selena is ready for her next step.

Currently promoting her latest film with co-star Ethan Hawke, the 21-year-old actress said,

"I'm a woman so I change my mind all the time. One day I want to do acting and just that, and then other times I just want to do music and just that, so it changes. But this is my last record for a while. I'm going to tour it and then I'm going to just kind of get into acting for a really long period of time, hopefully."

The "Stars Dance" tour is set to continue through November of this year and then Gomez will stop working on music for the time being.

Last week, she explained how she wanted to be in more films in order to get better at acting. She is currently working on two new films entitled Rudderless and Behaving Badly.

"I feel like music was really such a great outlet for me. It's therapeutic, it's so much fun," she explained in an interview last week. "Obviously being able to be on stage and dance around, it's awesome, and you just have a good time and the adrenaline's taking over. But I have to do more (acting) to get better so I want to do that. It's like my own personal thing."

Ethan Hawke stars in Getaway with Gomez and he has apparently been giving her some "fatherly advice" with her acting career.

"More than anything I loved hearing his stories because he's been doing this for a while," she said. "So I was very wide-eyed when he would tell a lot of stories because it was interesting, and he doesn't realize when you speak."
