There are plenty of casting rumors surrounding Star Wars: Episode VII, involving a never-ending list of actors. But what if a musician wanted in on the 2015 J.J. Abrams film? To answer that question, Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age "auditioned" for the a role in the Star Wars film in a special sketch with YouTube comedy channel "Stinky Mike."

In the video below, Homme reveals his passion for the film franchise and describes what he can bring to the new movies. In fact, the rocker only wants one part: "The King of Droids." He means R2D2, but considering he was probably just riffing on some funny ideas, we'll absolutely accept it.

Check out Homme's audition right here:

Homme was recently in the headlines for dissing Jay Z and his Made in America festival this summer. Here is an excerpt from Mstars' coverage of that story:

"That guy's a kook, you know. He has his security frisking the bands on the way in. I just told them, if you open my up bag, we're not playing," said Homme. "The idea that they frisked my guys means you're in a different place. I don't get this... No one's ever done that."

That wasn't all Homme had to say about Hova. He also thought that his "gifts" at Made in America were nothing but a marketing ploy. "Forget Jay Z. He also gave us some champagne, but then wanted us to take a picture with it. I was like, 'That's not a gift -- that's a marketing tool. I destroyed it, because I thought it was just rude overall."

The security measures at the beginning of the show were obviously the root of Homme's issues, though. "You shouldn't frisk my guys. You should f**k off," he added.
