By now you probably know about the drama surrounding 2013 breakout artist Lorde and her criticism of Selena Gomez's song "Come and Get It." The "Royals" songstress has been posting a lot of her opinions on her Tumblr page, and one entry specifically called out the song's lyrics for being anti-feminist. Well a new report now claims that Lorde has praised Gomez recently for covering "Royals." She even said Gomez's version was "cool." Has the young buzz artist had a change of heart?

Here is Lorde's original criticism of Selena's lyrics in "Come and Get It":

"I'm a feminist, and the theme of her song is, 'When you're ready come and get it from me.' I'm sick of women being portrayed this way."

She went on to point out specific lyrics that made her point.

But now in a new interview with Billboard, the new artist has admitted to "running her mouth" and having to work on being more careful with what she says.

"That's the one time I didn't censor myself very well. I don't regret it at all, but the wrath of a huge fan base is never a walk in the park," she said.

When talking about Gomez's cover of the hit song "Royals," Lorde stated:

"I thought it was cool. I liked the wind machine. And she did something interesting with the chords."

So maybe Lorde is trying to move past her remarks about Selena? Clearly a compliment is good way to start the healing process.

Gomez recently responded to Lorde's original criticism, too.

"There's 2 different kinds of criticism. There's the people that hide behind a computer and want to say endless amount of things but never say it to your face, and then obviously there are the vocal ones. I appreciate everybody's opinion, especially because I've covered her music lots of times," stated Gomez.
