Watch your back, Eminem. Lady Gaga is coming for you. The "Dope" singer's latest album, Artpop is aiming for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 next week.

According to Billboard, Artpop is projected to sell 260,000 copies in its first week, which should be enough to edge Slim Shady out of the top spot. Normally, a release from the Mother Monster would be a guaranteed No. 1, but Eminem's first album in three years sold a huge number of copies in its first week.

As MStars News reported yesterday, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 sold 793,000 copies in its first week, making it the second highest debut of the year. Eminem has only been bested by Justin Timberlake's highly anticipated comeback album The 20/20 Experience.

Eminem's sales aside, 260,000 copies is a solid prediction for Gaga. Two of pop's other mega-players Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus posted similar numbers for their debuts this fall. Perry's Prism moved 286,000 copies and Cyrus' controversial Bangerz sold 270,000.

Though 260,000 copies predition falls way short of the 1.1 million copies Born This Way moved upon its debut in 2011, that album was greatly aided by a 99-cent promotion from Amazon. Since then, Billboard has altered its first week tracking rules, limiting tracking prices to $3.99 and above for the first few weeks of an album's release.

Artpop would be Gaga's second No. 1 album on the Billboard charts.

Even if MMLP2 somehow manages to edge out Gaga, she's still had good luck on the charts this month. Non-single Artpop track "Dope" debuted at No. 8 on the Hot 100 yesterday after her YouTube Music Awards performance.
