By now you've most likely heard of the tragic death of Hollywood actor Paul Walker. Over the weekend, the Running Scared star was in a horrific, fiery car accident that claimed his life at 40 years of age. Though this news is despairing enough, the future of Walker's upcoming film Fast and Furious 7 was thrown into turmoil with the death of the franchise star. But now Universal has decided to move forward with the latest installment of the car chase film series and filming starts this upcoming weekend.

Clearly fans of Walker were not too concerned about the future of this franchise so soon after his death, but this might be somewhat of a cushion to the blow that is the news of his passing. Walker and the rest of the cast had already signed on for the 7th installment of the series and starting filming, so it looks like the film will just move on without the star.

NY Daily News reports:

Fast & Furious 7 has been given a green light to continue in the aftermath of the horrific crash that killed franchise star Paul Walker.
Universal executives and director James Wan made the decision in a conference call on Sunday morning, a day after the tragic accident that killed Walker and his friend, Roger Rodas.

The movie will be delayed, but is on course to be completed. No word yet as to how Walker's death will play into the film, but we could be seeing a death scene worked into the movie.
