As the Dayton players celebrated their glory at eliminating the favoured Ohio State Buckeyes from the 2014 March Madness, star guard Aaron Craft was flat out on the floor in despair, will his team falling short hurt his hopes of being a higher draft pick in the 2014 NBA Draft?

The first game of the first full day of the 2014 NCAA tournament pitted the No. 11 seed Dayton Flyers against the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes. Although their 60-59 victory comes as a surprise to many, the writing was on the wall as the Buckeyes have fallen short on numerous of occasions this season.

Both teams went back and forth, with the fans having no idea who would grab the final shot, and win the game. Craft was the center of much of the talk, as Vee Sanford drove at him to take the lead for Dayton, and then Craft himself, with 3.8 seconds left on the clock, pushed a quick, contested shot, but it didn't sink for the point guard. The Buckeyes last six tournament games have seen them lose by a combined 14 points, showing that they've suffered as much heartbreak as any NCAA basketball team.

The 2014 NBA draft is loaded with top quality NBA-ready prospects, and Aaron Craft looked set to fall in to the second or third round. Only a stunning March Madness could see him propel himself in to first round contention, but this heartbreak that he was so heavily involved in will ensure the 2014 Bob Cousy Award nominee will remain a second or third round pick.

Although Craft has suffered from negatives like this, and looks set to be the forgotten man in the 2014 NBA draft, it's likely that he will still be an asset most NBA teams would like to have.
