As the Champions League quarter-final draw was made on Friday morning, many Manchester United fans winced in disgust, not that there was an easy draw to be made, but United possibly landed the toughest of all seven contenders. However, had United of been told they could have this opportunity three weeks ago, they wouldn't taken it, knowing they had a miracle to qualify, which they did with their 3-0 victory earlier this week. Can United knock Bayern Munich out?

The draw made many mouthwatering matches such as:

Manchester United vs Bayern Munich

Chelsea vs Paris St-Germain

Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund

Bayern Munich won the Champions League last season, and look an even better team this season, recently knocking United's Premier League rivals Arsenal out, so can United, who have struggled all season, find a way to sneak through? It doesn't look likely, but then again, stranger things have happened.

In form Chelsea will see a tough tie against French giants PSG, who although are one of the smaller clubs remaining, have many world class talents that could scare Chelsea. Chelsea are favourites to go through. Barcelona got what was possibly the least inspiring draw, a match against their La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid. Although it will be an exciting match, the pair have faced off twice already, making it a less appealing tie for the neutral.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid are desperate to win the Champions League and they're having an excellent season, but to win the tournament they will have to defeat the Champions League finalists from last season, Borussia Dortmund. Although Dortmund were a classy and difficult team to stop last season, it's hard to look past a team that boast both Ronaldo and Gareth Bale within their ranks.

Regardless of the outcome, the soccer world are set for several exciting quarter-finals, and even better semi-final possibilities. Can United beat the current champions, or who else could rise to lift the trophy come May?
