The 2014 NFL Draft is a matter of weeks away and we know one thing; the Cleveland Browns are in desperate need of a quarterback, possibly two. If you let the media fool you, you'd be thinking it's a clear choice between the trio of Teddy Bridgewater, Johnny Manziel and Blake Bortles, but could Alabama's A.J. McCarron be the preferred option? It seems he might just be as he has spent today working out with the Cleveland Browns and next week he is returning to Cleveland for a visit. Will the Browns draft A.J. over the famous trio?

The draft takes place on May 8th-10th, and many are discussing other options far away from McCarron, but why couldn't he take on the challenge of being a franchise quarterback? The QB was a huge hit in college, winning two national championships, and many believe his leadership and abilities can transfer straight in to the NFL, but for many invalidated reasons people are of the belief that the famous three of Bridgewater, Manziel and Bortles have the quarterback of the draft within its rank.

Many mock drafts are predicting A.J. will go as a third- or fourth-round pick, so many are writing him off it seems. He could go that late, but that means the Browns could use their two first-round picks on strengthening other areas, and still get their franchise quarterback after all.

Although there's a long way to go and a lot of options for the Browns, it seems like McCarron is an option they are definitely deep in to consideration about.
