The Amazing Spider-Man 2, arguably the biggest blockbuster movie of 2014, is in theaters today, May 2, 2014, so this week star Andrew Garfield promoted the film on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Sure, we got to learn cool facts about the movie, but the stand-out moment of the interview occurred when Garfield performed his unique Spider-Man theme on acoustic guitar for Jimmy and the audience!

Though Garfield admits early on in the following clip that he's new to the instrument, the actor that portrays Peter Parker in the exciting rebooted film franchise held his own while performing the tune. Plus the Tonight Show house band, the Roots, joined in with Jimmy on tambourine and the crowd clapping along. Garfield can add "acoustic guitar player with the Roots" to his already impressive resume now!

Despite having one of the biggest sequels in movie history (again, "arguably") coming out this week, Andrew was recently in the headlines for a making a bold statement. In the Ultimate Spider-Man comic series, a gay, Hispanic character named Miles Morales is the new "Web Slinger" after Parker dies. Garfield feels like, once his films come to an end, Morales should get his own franchise.

"I have given that thought," Garfield told Comic Book Resources. "Miles Morales was a huge moment in this character's comic book life. And I do believe that we can do that. It's something I'm really interested in figuring out; an eloquent way of coexisting, or passing on the torch. I don't have an answer, but I think it's actually a really important move. I think it's a really beautiful and important move."
