The 2013/14 soccer season was electric, but it seems like the best is yet to come. With the FA Cup final, the Champions League final and the World Cup all coming in the next few weeks, we are far from done with the soccer season, but elite teams are already hard at work trying to add world class talents to their rosters prior to the 2014/15 season. Chelsea have agreed a $54 million dollar deal to land Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa, who is arguably one of the best strikers in the world.

Jose Mourinho has been quick to moan about his lack of a quality striker this season and it arguable allowed Manchester City an easier path to their Premier League title, so evidently Mourinho deemed it a priority to sign a superstar striker as soon as possible. Ironically, Costa helped Madrid dump Chelsea out of the UEFA Champions League a couple of weeks ago. Costa has vital games coming for Madrid, against rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid, so this move couldn't of come at a a worse time for Madrid.

It's believed Costa is on around $80,000 dollars a week, and he could see that triple if he completes his move to Chelsea. It's rumoured that the deal will be announced in early June once he has finished his seasons commitments for Atletico.

It looks very likely that Chelsea will look to get rid of all (or most) of their current strike-force, and it seems like Costa will spear their new-look attack. Can he fire Chelsea to glory next season, and how will he fair in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil?
