The NCAA has quite possibly one of the strangest business set-ups in the world. Their college students perform in front of thousands of fans, their stars will enter the NFL and the NBA, but the players don't earn a thing, but hope and potential. Fair enough, and their time will come, right? Not quite. According to basketball star Shabazz Napier, he and many other NCAA athletes would go hungry, and not be given the food they needed for their athlete lifestyle. It seems his protests has brought a much-needed change, as the NCAA have revealed they will overhaul the way their food system works.

These reforms should of been in place years ago, but it's better late than never. The athletes were limited to three meals per day, with the school refusing to give them the extra food an athlete has been scientifically proven to eat. NFL star Arian Foster weighed in to this argument, saying that his college coaches broke rules by buying him and his teammates tacos on one occasion.

These college athletes are expected to take on big roles, like the ones players take on at the professional level, yet they're being forced to eat the same food as a regular college person. Quite often the fitness plan of an NCAA athlete alongside their studies can be longer than having two full-time jobs, so surely they need the nutrition to function, right?

Should a bigger deal be made of this whole "hunger" saga, or has it been overblown?
