When Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs signed Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, they were skinny, talented wonderkids. Despite having the potential to be two superb players, nobody predicted that years later they'd both grace the famous shirt of Real Madrid. The UEFA Champions League winners are consider by far the biggest club in the world, and lately a talking point has come up, why are their players so big, bulky and strong? As seen in the image, Bale was slowly building his physique at Spurs, but within one year at Madrid he looks three or four times bigger, prompting rumours that perhaps he has used enhancing drugs, like steroids.

Ronaldo was big, strong and powerful at United, but he too grew bigger once joining Madrid. Bale's transformation has been rapid. He's gone from a strong, normal footballer, to one of the most in shape athletes playing the game. Can one year of training and playing for an elite soccer team create that kind of body, or has he had outside help?

With Bale and Ronaldo the club have two very talented and versatile players, who both equally frighten their opposing defense. It's scary to think that Bale has many more years of developing his game, learning the language and improving his body shape, making one wonder, can he soon become the world's best player, as well as the world's most expensive player?

Could Bale of achieved this body through hard work, or could the steroid rumours be true? Either way, Madrid have two stunning players.
