We have enjoyed the NFL training camp, and now the 2014/15 pre-season is here, exciting, right? That means we are a matter of weeks away from the 2014/15 NFL season starting. With one of the best classes of rookies coming from the 2014 NFL draft, it's clear to see why there is so much excitement, buzz and energy surrounding the rookies. This rookie watch will explain why Sammy Watkins, Jadeveon Clowney, Johnny Manziel and Blake Bortles are creating excitement for their teams, whilst A.J. McCarron may not get near the field. At least he's got Katherine Webb, right?

Watkins has been a revelation for the Buffalo Bills, showing exactly why they traded up to draft him. The star was many people's tip to be an instant success, and he's taken the transition like a duck to water. Watkins could instantly become an elite NFL receiver. Manziel might not of been as impressive for the Cleveland Browns so far, but their fans are very excited and he has shown fair more promise and improvement than many of their previous rookie QB have.

Jadeveon Clowney has been described as a 'monster' for years, and many believed a man with his power, size and frame could easily dominate in the NFL. So far, if pre-season is anything to go by, he's going to be just fine, and he will not fear any opponent, no matter who he may face. Bortles is one man that surprised a few. Firstly he was drafted as the highest QB, and secondly he's been a hit in training camp and pre-season. Despite claims that the Jacksonville Jaguars may let him watch and learn for the season, he's proving he might just be worth giving a shot to a lot earlier.

It's bad news for McCarron, though, with many suggesting that he has a shoulder injury which will stop him from practising. Rookie practice is vital, and this might leave him far behind his rivals, but at least he has a supportive wife in Katherine.
