New England Patriots Positive Going Into NFL Season

By Armon Sadler | Aug 13, 2015 01:51 PM EDT

The New England Patriots have arguably been the best team in football since the start of the 2000s. With four Super Bowl wins, 12 AFC East division titles, and an undefeated 2007-2008 regular season, it's very hard to argue that point—even with Deflategate floating overhead. Head Coach Bill Belichick and future first ballot Hall of Fame Quarterback Tom Brady have created a dynasty in Foxboro, and though many stars have come and gone, the Pats have remained atop that division due to keeping these two around. So it's no surprise the Patriots are confidently going into the 2015-2016 season. Read More »

Kansas City Chiefs: 1st Team Without Any TDs Thrown To WRs?

By Joseph Trezza | Dec 26, 2014 12:43 PM EST

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith has thrown a respectable 18 touchdowns this season — more than Cam Newton, Colin Kapaernick and Andy Dalton. But none of them have gone to Chiefs wide receivers. That's right. In an incredibly bizarre streak, no Kansas City receiver has caught a touchdown all season, according to Deadspin. Where, then, have Smith's touchdowns come from? Tight end Travis Kelce and running back Jamaal Charles are tied for the team lead in touchdown receptions with five, followed by tight end Anthony Fasano's four and running back Joe McKnight, who has two. Running back Knile Davis and Anthony Sherman, the fullback, have chipped in with one score each. The Chiefs aren't without talented receivers. Wideout Dwayne Bower once scored 15 in a season but has zero this year, according to the "News Tribune." Read More »

By Kenneth Brown | Nov 03, 2014 05:03 PM EST

Brandon Weeden insists he never got a chance with the Cleveland Browns, but will he get one with the Dallas Cowboys? The inconsistent QB has deputized for the injured Tony Romo, but it's safe to say his first start DID NOT go to plan. However, some fans have suggested that Weeden, or somebody else, should replace Romo for good. Jerry Jones, the Cowboys' owner, has had his say on the matter. Will Weeden or Romo start in their NFL game at London's Wembley Stadium? They are facing the Jacksonville Jaguars, so perhaps either QB will be good enough after all. Read More »

By Kenneth Brown | Oct 19, 2014 06:27 PM EDT

All summer long Cleveland Browns fans cried for Johnny Manziel to start over Brian Hoyer, but his recent performances soon silenced those cries. This weekend, however, Hoyer's men failed miserably, losing 24-6 against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars, which quickly prompted for more "Manziel in" chants. How will the Browns fix this situation, and is Hoyer the man to lead them forward? He, and his high school football coach, think so, but the Browns might soon beg for consistency. Read More »
