All summer long Cleveland Browns fans cried for Johnny Manziel to start over Brian Hoyer, but his recent performances soon silenced those cries. This weekend, however, Hoyer's men failed miserably, losing 24-6 against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars, which quickly prompted for more "Manziel in" chants. How will the Browns fix this situation, and is Hoyer the man to lead them forward? He, and his high school football coach, think so, but the Browns might soon beg for consistency.

Hoyer believes he's the man. He explained, "I don't think I need to say anymore than I'm from Cleveland and this is where I want to be. But I also am a competitor, so I want to be somewhere where I'm playing."

Hoyer's hometown hero side certainly helps him, but the draw of Manziel appears to be too much for some to resist, and it could provide a much-needed spark for the team.

His high-school football coach evidently agrees, saying, "In New England, [Hoyer] backed up a guy who's going to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. You can look at it and say, 'I'll never get my chance,' or look at it and say, 'I'll get a chance to learn a lot.' Those [three] years with the Patriots, he'd never trade those. He got into the science of football."

Will the fans cry until they get Manziel, or will Hoyer find some consistency and silence his doubters once and for all?
