'Rocky Horror Picture Show' Mac Cosmetics Makeup Line Celebrates 40th Anniversary Of Film With New Products

Just in time for Halloween, M-A-C Cosmetics will be releasing a collection of makeup inspired by The Rocky Horror Picture Show. This collaboration will mark the films 40^th anniversary, and M-A-C along with the creative team behind the cult classic, have geared up to give fans of the film this special treat.

According to the RHPS Fan Club's Official Facebook page, Rocky Horror fanatics can get their hands on lipsticks, lip pencils, eye shadows, glitter, blushes, powders, eyeliner, lashes and so much more, when the products hit shelves next month. The products are reasonably priced and range anywhere from $17.50 to $44.00. The color hues have been specifically designed as a way for fans to recreate the looks seen in the film.

Fans can use the makeup to transform themselves into characters from Richard O'Brien's classic movie, or they can use them for a simple night out on the town.

It seems like everyone is excited for these new products, as Sal Piro, President of the Rocky Horror Picture Show Fan Club, released a statement saying, "As the fortieth anniversary is looming with great... 'Antic-i-pation' lifelong fans and even newbies to the cult of ROCKY will be very excited by the kick-off of this great product line."

Executive producer of the film, Lou Adler, echoed Piro's sentiments, saying, "It is hard to believe it has been almost 40 years since we released The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but as we approach this milestone anniversary, the film is as outrageously entertaining and relevant as it ever was." Lou explained. "It has certainly taken on a life of its own, and continues to transcend generations and hold a solid spot in pop culture year after year."
