Kelly Ripa revealed details about How I Met You Mother actor Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka's Italian wedding on her show, Live! With Kelly and Michael on Monday. After being given permission by Neil to share details about the weekend with her fans, she opened up about the romantic event.

Kelly started out by telling her cohost Michael Strahan that she spent the weekend in Italy and the whole audience began to cheer.

"It was a beautiful family affair in Perugia, Italy. They rented a castle — or I think they rented it. I hope we didn't break into a castle and just stayed there," Ripa said.

"Sir Elton John performed. There were fireworks. The food was amazing. There were magic tricks, because, you know Neil is way into magic. Their wedding vows were so beautiful," she added.

According to E! News, the duo began dating 10 years ago. They "wore custom Tom Ford tuxedos [and] their friend and mentor, How I Met Your Mother producer and director Pam Fryman, officiated the wedding ceremony," the publication reported.

What did the couple's adorable twins do during the ceremony? Kelly had the answer to that too! While Harper was the flower girl, her twin brother Gideon wasn't happy just being the ring bearer. Instead the 3-year-old created his own position.

"He said, 'I don't want to be the ring bearer. I want to be the orange boy,'" Kelly told Michael. "And he passed out oranges to everybody as he came down the aisle ... he came up with it on his own. He had his little tux and his top hat and he passed out oranges."

The daytime host ended the story by saying that when she danced with Gideon later that night she said to him, "'Look, Gideon. I saved your orange because I'm gonna keep it forever.' And he goes, 'Oh, you shouldn't. They're so delicious!'"

The happy couple tied the knot three years after they got engaged in 2011. Neil confirmed the news by tweeting, "Yup, we put the 'n' and 'd' in 'husband,'" on Monday.
