Jamie Dornan played Sheriff Graham, the Huntsman, on ABC's hit show Once Upon a Time in season 1. Even though Jamie's character was killed off in the middle of season 1 after his heart was crushed, the executive producers wanted him to return to the show and reprise his role.

According to Entertainment Weekly, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis had a plan for Jamie's character to return but his schedule wouldn't allow it. "Ultimately, Dornan couldn't make it work because the actor was busy shooting Fifty Shades of Grey," EW reported.

After season 3 ended, it was revealed that Sheriff Graham would have appeared in the season finale, when Emma Swan (played by Jennifer Morrison) and Hook (played by Colin O'Donoghue) traveled back in time to the Enchanted Forest. Emma would have been able to see Graham while she was being held in the Evil Queen's castle.

"We wanted a Peggy Sue Got Married moment," Edward revealed to EW. "He would've been one of the guards because it would've been during that period."

"[Emma] would've seen him, and it would've been heartbreaking for her because she would've wanted to reach out to him, but knowing that — because she's on a mission — she couldn't. It wasn't a big plot thing, but it was an emotional moment that we wanted to do."

Even though Graham didn't return to Storybrooke or the Enchanted Forest, Emma did have a little romance this past season with Hook. The hit ABC show returns for a fourth season this Sunday and Frozen is coming.

Jamie on the other hand is busy filming Fifty Shades of Grey, which is based on the erotic novel with the same title. Fifty Shades will hit theater this February.
