After months of teasing, the premiere of the Batman prequel Gotham finally surfaced on Fox.

As the DC Comics TV show continues, the question comic book fans are asking is when will Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) meet the other Dark Knight baddies, such as The Riddler and The Scarecrow?

In our recent recap, Gordon uncovers a conspiracy rooted deep within the Wayne murders. Gordon begins to suspect his partner, Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) framed a guilty criminal of the wrong crime. In his search for the truth, Gordon almost ended up dead because of the ruthless mob boss Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith).

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, McKenzie talks about which Batman baddies he would like to see on the TV show. The cast and crew are currently in production, having worked on eight episodes so far.

The Southland actor said, "I have a weird soft spot in my heart for Nygma. I've always liked The Riddler. I know that's an unorthodox choice, and a lot of people hate The Riddler, but I find The Riddler fascinating. Scarecrow I think is really cool."

As we mentioned here, Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) showed up to tell the detectives the bullet that killed the Waynes belongs to a gun that is not registered. While dishing out his complex riddles, Nygma is quite shocked that Gordon actually solved one of them. Does Nygma start out as the good guy before becoming the criminal mastermind?

McKenzie continued, "Of the non-human Batman villains, I think we'll start with the humans and we'll branch out from there. But again, it's early days. We're only eight episodes into shooting, so we hopefully ... knock on wood ... have a long way to go, and we can bring those people ... or non-people ... in if need be."

Gotham continues Mondays on Fox at 8 p.m.

Readers, would you like to see Killer Croc, Mr. Freeze or maybe The Joker on Gotham?
