Hollywood weddings are like the movies themselves: production, location, celebrity faces and high budgets are all part of their making.

George Clooney's and Brangelina's recent weddings are only small figments in the history of celebrity and royal weddings that have taken place during this century.

We have compiled a list of a few of the century's top weddings that have taken place.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

The first great reality TV wedding included Kim Kardashian in her August 2011 wedding to Kris Humphries. It included a 20.5-carat wedding ring and 440 guests, including Sugar Ray Leonard, Lindsay Lohan and Eva Longoria.

The wedding was streamed on the Kardashians's blogs and websites. There was even a two-part E! special months later after the wedding.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the wedding cost around $6 million, but it should have cost more, since the reality star made deals with companies to promote their products.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise

Cruise's love for Holmes was made apparent during an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show, where the actor started jumping up and down on the talk show host's couch. Later on in their relationship they were dubbed "TomKat."

The couple had a daughter, Suri, in 2006. The couple then married Nov. 18, 2006, at 15th-century Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy, in a Scientology ceremony which was attended by countless celebrities.

Imagine Clooney's wedding, without the Scientology flare.

Prince William and Kate Middleton

The royal wedding of the century melted the hearts of millions April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey in London.

The wedding attracted media attention similar to the 1981 wedding of William's parents, the late Princess Diana and Charles, Prince of Wales.

The wedding included carriages, foot guards and Household Cavalry. The wedding brought more than 5,000 street parties throughout the United Kingdom. One million people lined Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace.

Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar

The British supermodel and actress married Indian textile heir Nayar March 2, 2007.

The couple married at Sudeley Castle with a second Hindu wedding at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. The wedding photos were reportedly sold to Hello magazine for $2 million.

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey

The two pop stars became ultra-celebrities and one of the first reality stars to become hounded intensely by the media for their relationship broadcast on their show, Newlyweds.

Simpson was also vocal about the fact that she was a virgin until her marriage with Lachey. The then-lovebirds married in a lavish ceremony Oct. 26, 2002, in Austin, Texas
