Tonight's the night... Go On's Laura Benanti is making her debut on Nashville as Sadie Stone. In the second episode of season three, Nashville will introduce us to a new singer-songwriter played by the Tony winner. The 35-year-old opened up about her new character and her personal love of the show in an all-new interview.

In addition to adding a fun new character to Nashville, Laura is bringing her admiration of the ABC show to set. "I'm a huge fan of the show. My girlfriend, Chelsea, and I, we watch it religiously. So when I got offered this job, it was probably the happiest moment of my life... which might be sad," Laura told TV Line.

Laura is a true fan of the show, right down to the fact that she hates Jeff Fordham, like we all do. "Then, when I saw that my scenes were with Jeff Fordham, I was like, 'Noooooo!,' because everyone hates Jeff Fordham – as you should," she added.

The Take the Lead actress revealed that she is also completely obsessed with Nashville star, Connie Britton, who plays Rayna James. "Sitting in a car with Connie Britton for five hours, riding around Nashville, was the highlight of my life," she revealed to the publication. "It was so hilarious to me that after all the tweets I've tweeted about Connie Britton and being obsessed with her, now she's trapped in a car with me for five hours. It's hilarious karma. I must have done something right."

Laura might be a huge fan of the show and of her awesome costar Connie, but the feelings are mutual. In July, after the casting announcement was released the Country Music TV queen herself tweeted her excitement about Laura joining the cast. "@LauraBenanti oh thank the lord... I've been dying to say something already! Get yer ass over here girl!!! Honored to have you joining us!" Rayna wrote.

So what will Laura's character be doing this season? Becoming friends with Rayna while promoting her own career, that's what. "She has been writing songs for other people for a really long time, and she's just put out an album on her own that's hit in a pretty big way. She gets to meet her idol, Rayna Jaymes, who takes her under her wing a bit. They become friendly," Laura explained to TV Line.

We are almost as excited to see Laura on tonight's new episode of Nashville, as she is to star in it. Check out her tweet from this morning!

Tune in tonight as we meet Sadie Stone and all her glory.
