Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Nicholas Brendon is heading back to high school in a new guest star role for MTV.

Nicholas will guest star on MTV's Faking It during its season finale this year. TV Line learned that the Criminal Minds actor will be a professional artist named Jackson Lee. "Also an alum of Hestor High, Jackson eventually becomes an artistic mentor to Liam (Gregg Sulkin) after interviewing art students for a prestigious fellowship," TV Line reported.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nicholas "will appear in the season two finale, though he has the potential to return should Faking It earn a likely third season."

This is the latest news in a long line of good news for the actor. On Oct. 1, Nicholas married the love of his life Moonda Tee after proposing to her one week earlier on Sept. 29. The duo went to Las Vegas and tied the knot in a quick ceremony. They posed for pictures underneath the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada."

The 43-year-old actor announced his marriage on Twitter saying, "Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married!" He later added, "AND WERE MARRIED!!! #tildeathdouspart."

Nicholas is the latest guest star to be added to the MTV show. Yvette Monreal is joining the cast as Regan, an edgy lesbian and Keith Powers is joining as Theo, a friend of Liam's as recurring characters in season two. Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox and the band Fifth Harmony will make guest appearances this season as well.

Faking It is a romantic comedy in its second season on MTV. The story follows best friends Amy (played by Rita Volk) and Karma (played by Katie Stevens) as they pretend to be lesbians to be noticed in high school. Unfortunatley, Amy actual falls for Karma, which causes a lot of drama.

Faking It airs Tuesdays at 10:30/9:30c on MTV.
