Tonight marks an all-new episode of The Vampire Diaries and the return of Enzo. Michael Malarkey, who plays the role on the hit CW show, teases what is in store for his character this season, what happens on his hunt for Damon Salvatore (played by Ian Somerhalder) and his relationship with Caroline Forbes (played by Candice Accola).

Enzo returns to The Vampire Diaries in order to find Damon, but he is quickly sidetracked with Caroline, who loves a man with a British accent. "She ends up getting swept up alongside some of the missions he goes on and, for better or worse, they pair up. I also think he appreciates her sense of tenacity and loyalty. Also, she just has this elegance which is also attractive to him," Malarkey told TV Line of his character's interaction with Caroline.

As for a romantic relationship between Caroline and Enzo, he revealed, "I'm all for it!"

In addition to his continuous banter and growing relationship with Caroline, Enzo is really there to find out how to get Damon back, even if Stefan Salvatore (played by Paul Wesley) doesn't want to help him. "Enzo disapproves of how Stefan has been dealing with it and Stefan has been off the radar," the actor told The Hollywood Reporter.

"[During a dinner between Caroline, Enzo, Stefan and his new girlfriend Ivy] Enzo's there to go, 'Yo, here's the deal. What the hell are you doing? He's your brother.' Enzo goes over to Stefan's new pad and shakes everything up, and forces Stefan to look in the mirror."

The 31-year-old actor revealed that Enzo wouldn't be hanging out solely with Stefan and Caroline. He will actually become friends with an unlikely person... Matt Donovan (played by Zach Roerig).

"You will see some interactions coming up with Enzo and Matt. It's an unlikely duo. Just as he [does with] anybody else, Enzo tends to get under Matt's skin. However, he does, in the following episode, shed some light on a matter that is important to Matt that is a piece of harrowing information," the Impirioso star told THR.

The Vampire Diaries airs every Thursday on the CW network.
