'New Girl' Casting News: Billy Eichner Will Appear On The Fox Show's Christmas Episode

Funny or Die's Billy on the Street star Billy Eichner is coming to Fox's New Girl this holiday season. The 36-year-old comedian will be guest starring in the Christmas episode of Season 4 of the Fox comedy.

TV Line learned that Billy will be playing a Grinch-like character on New Girl's Christmas episode.

"Eichner will play Barry, a beleaguered airline representative the gang encounters at the airport. He's tired of dealing with holiday travelers and Christmas itself," TV Line exclusively reported.

Billy is the latest man coming to New Girl to guest star. Jess has already fallen for Ryan (Julian Morris) at school and gone on numerous dates in one episode earlier this season. According to the show's creator, Liz Meriwether, with everyone on the show single, this season there'll be a lot of sex and a lot of guest stars.

"There are six single characters in one television show. It's the most sex where you can't actually see anything on a television show possible. It's been really fun to write them all single and just the different ways that they're single and the stupid things that they're doing," Liz told Entertainment Weekly.

"Yeah, [write] an article where it's like, 'If you're an actor and you want to have sex with one of the New Girl cast members, call Liz Meriwether to figure it out,'" she said.

In addition to Jess's love life, which has been the main focus so far in Season 4, Nick will consider dating, but his approach will be different than when he was dating Jess last season.

"Nick [has been] aiming for the middle with girls. His thinking is like, 'I really put myself out there and tried with Jess, and now I'm just going to not try.' It's going to take him a while to get back into another relationship," she told the publication.

Plus, Schmidt will also find love again this season, but it won't be with Cece.

"The big Schmidt news is that the show is planning to introduce a major new love interest for him around midseason. The show's Thanksgiving episode is titled 'Bangs-giving' — and that's not a hair reference," TV Line reported.
