Jon Stewart Slams New ‘Daily Show’ Advertisers: Koch Brothers [VIDEO]

Recently, it was announced that the Koch brothers purchased some advertising space on The Daily Show, which Stewart brought to light on last night's episode. Unfortunately, according to Deadline, the host doesn't seem too happy about it... considering the company's questionable business tactics in order to gain electoral votes.

Following a hilarious Arby's mention – in which Stewart joked (?), "Arby's: For when you're wondering what it tastes like when a cow dies" – the Daily Show host showed a commercial for Koch Industries, which advertises during The Daily Show and does... something.

"Just who are these lovable, scamp Koch brothers?" asked Stewart. Well, it turns out they are two of the richest billionaires around, David and Charles Koch. Together, along with their many employees, the company prides itself on being "a global energy and manufacturing giant." And while it sounds rather legit, the team behind the Comedy Central hit series discovered that the brothers use their money to back several Conservative issues, which tends to be the exact opposite of the Daily Show audience... in case you didn't know.

According to the report below, the Koch brothers are going to dish out roughly $290 million through various "dark money organizations" during the midterm elections.

So, what does that mean? As Stewart says, "the Koch brothers are pouring an unending waterfall of money through a cleverly mass network of unaccountable organizations to peddle electoral influence." Therefore, of course, the show decided to redo the Koch brothers ad with a little spin. You know, to "welcome them to the Daily Show advertising family." Kind of...
